Macworld 2011: BlueTrek Carbon Fiber Bluetooth Headset is Crazy Light
31/1/2011 By Matthew Panzarino @ theiphoneguru.net
Yeah, so we’re not too sure about the current trend of slapping carbon fiber in and on everything that’s going on these days, but when it’s actually used for it’s primary properties, super strong and super light, then we’ll give it a pass. That’s why the Bluetrek Carbon was one of the more stunning products we handled at the Macworld Expo this year.
The Carbon is a Bluetooth headset with some well thought out details. The stem is made of Carbon fiber, which makes the headset extremely light, as in almost-can’t-feel-it-in-your-ear light. The headset has one exterior button that you tap once to answer calls that has a nice soft touch design so you don’t have to slam into your eardrum to answer calls. Unlike many other headsets there is also a dedicated power button which means no more holding down on the exterior button so many seconds to turn on and turn off, always fearing that you’re going to disconnect it by entering pairing mode on accident. There’s only one other button for volume that allows you to go all the way up or down the scale with one touch and hold. It’s a slick headset and one that we’re looking forward to testing in the labs.
The Carbon will be available soon from major retailers, the price is unannounced.

Looks really cool, the circular thing kinda looks like the home button on iOS device.
I can’t wait to get this headset on to try it out. Sounds great.
